I created a simple "Tribute Page" on Codepen for the FreeCodeCamp program. It was relatively easy and helped me gain more confidence that I understand how to use HTML/CSS. Granted, it looks very plain and basic, but I didn't want to rely heavily on Bootstrap to stylize it.
I also found an HTML color picker to choose the best color schemes. I find that web design is, in fact, hugely reliant on design (surprise) and making sure that all of the elements on the page are harmonious. I love playing with colors (hello, obsession with makeup) and I would ideally like to have a colorful and playful portfolio.
I updated my LinkedIn to reflect my learning at FreeCodeCamp yesterday. I will slowly add more of my skills to the page and transition them from legal to technical. I'm glad that I have a lot of customer service/office management skills for the future.
Today I am focusing on learning Bootstrap from top to bottom so that I can complete the portfolio challenge for FreeCodeCamp on CodePen and then transition it to my own Sublime Text editor.
